Greninja

Greninja (Japanese: ゲッコウガ Gekkouga) is a dual-type Water/Dark Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It evolves from Frogadier starting at level 36 and is the final evolutionary form of Froakie. Greninja is well-known for its swift and ninja-like movements, contributing to its unique battle style and popularity among Pokémon fans.

Greninja's backstory begins with its origins as Froakie, which evolves into Frogadier before reaching its final form. In Generation VII, certain Greninja with the Ability Battle Bond could transform into Ash-Greninja, a special form achieved after defeating an opponent in battle. This transformation highlighted the bond between Greninja and its trainer. However, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Ash-Greninja transformation is no longer present, and Battle Bond's effect was altered to increase Greninja's stats upon defeating an opponent.

In the Pokémon world, Greninja plays a significant role as a versatile and agile battler. It has been featured prominently in the Pokémon anime, particularly in the Kalos region storyline, where Ash Ketchum's Greninja became a pivotal character. This form, Ash-Greninja, showcased Greninja's enhanced abilities and deep bond with its trainer, becoming a fan favorite. Additionally, Greninja has appeared in various Pokémon games and spin-offs, including the Super Smash Bros. series, further solidifying its status as an iconic Pokémon.

Greninja is a bipedal, frog-like Pokémon predominantly dark blue in color, with distinct yellow markings and red eyes. Its most notable feature is its long pink tongue, which wraps around its neck like a scarf. This tongue is not only a unique physical trait but also enhances its sensory capabilities. Greninja's abilities include compressing water into sharp weapons such as Water Shuriken, which is its signature move. Its speed and agility allow it to execute rapid and graceful movements, making it a formidable opponent in battles. Greninja's design and abilities are inspired by both traditional ninjas and various frog species, reflecting its stealthy and powerful nature.
