Quaxly

Quaxly (Japanese: クワッス Kuwassu) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX of the Pokémon series. It is one of the three first partner Pokémon available at the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, alongside Sprigatito and Fuecoco. Quaxly made its public debut on February 27, 2022, during a Pokémon Presents video presentation.

Quaxly's backstory reveals that it is not native to the Paldea region but migrated from faraway places long ago. Despite its origins, Quaxly has adapted well to its environment in Paldea, where it is now commonly found. It is known for its clean and orderly nature, often seen meticulously grooming itself to maintain its pristine appearance.

In the Pokémon world, Quaxly plays a significant role as a starter Pokémon for new trainers in the Paldea region. At level 16, Quaxly evolves into Quaxwell, and then into Quaquaval at level 36. This evolutionary line showcases its growth from a tidy duckling to a more powerful and majestic Pokémon, aiding trainers in their journeys and battles.

Quaxly is characterized by its white duckling-like appearance, yellow beak, and blue eyes. It features teal webbed feet and a prominent teal crest on its head. The crest, maintained with a rich, moist cream, can become disheveled if it dries out. Quaxly's feathers secrete a glossy gel that repels water and dirt, ensuring it remains clean. Known for its strong legs, Quaxly is an adept swimmer and can deliver swift kicks to its opponents. Its earnest and overthinking nature makes it a unique and endearing partner for trainers in the Pokémon world.
