It evolves into Lombre starting at level 14, which then evolves into Ludicolo when exposed to a Water Stone. Lotad's backstory reveals that it inhabits clean lakes and ponds, using the large leaf on its back to float on the water’s surface. This leaf not only aids in its buoyancy but also serves as a mode of transportation for smaller Pokémon. The leaf's dirt-repellent property allows it to remain clean even when ferrying muddy Pokémon.
