Dipplin
Dipplin (Japanese: カミッチュ Kamicchu) is a dual-type Grass/Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation IX, as part of The Teal Mask expansion. This unique Pokémon evolves from Applin when exposed to a Syrupy Apple and can further evolve into Hydrapple upon leveling up while knowing the move Dragon Cheer. Dipplin is one of Applin's three branched evolutions, alongside Flapple and Appletun.

Dipplin's backstory is intricately tied to its evolution process, which is triggered by the Syrupy Apple, an item found exclusively in the region of Kitakami. This apple causes Applin to transform into Dipplin, a Pokémon that appears to be composed of two separate worm-like creatures living inside an apple. The head of the "fore-wyrm" and the tail of the "core-wyrm" are visible outside the apple, giving Dipplin its distinctive appearance. This symbiotic relationship between the two wyrms is essential to Dipplin's identity and function.
In the Pokémon world, Dipplin plays a unique role due to its ability to produce a fragrant syrup that coats its apple, which can captivate and hinder its opponents. This syrup is used both defensively and offensively in battle. Dipplin and its evolved form, Hydrapple, are the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Syrup Bomb, and they can also have the unique Ability, Supersweet Syrup. This makes Dipplin a strategic choice for trainers looking for a combination of Grass and Dragon-type moves.
Dipplin's characteristics and abilities reflect its dual nature and origins. Its body is light green with a yellow-green underside, and it has large yellow leaf-like eyestalks and a thin protrusion on its head. The core-wyrm's tail has leaf-like features that add to its apple-themed design. Dipplin's ability to produce syrup not only aids in battle but also ties into its thematic design, resembling a candy apple. This unique combination of attributes makes Dipplin a distinctive and versatile Pokémon in the competitive landscape.
