Silcoon

Silcoon (Japanese: カラサリス Karasalis) is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III of the Pokémon series. It is primarily known for its cocoon-like appearance and serves as an intermediate evolutionary stage between Wurmple and Beautifly. Silcoon is one of the two possible evolutions of Wurmple, the other being Cascoon.

Silcoon evolves from Wurmple starting at level 7, given a specific hidden personality value. This evolution path diverges from Cascoon, which is Wurmple's other evolutionary branch. After becoming Silcoon, it will further evolve into Beautifly starting at level 10. Silcoon, much like its parallel Cascoon, lives a rather stationary life, conserving energy for its final transformation.

In the Pokémon world, Silcoon plays the role of a transitional stage in the evolutionary line of Wurmple. Its primary function is to prepare for its final evolution into Beautifly, a more agile and aesthetically appealing Pokémon. Silcoon is often found in forested areas, attaching itself to tree branches using its silk threads. It remains largely immobile, focusing on conserving energy for its imminent evolution.

Silcoon is characterized by its almost completely white, silk-covered body, with only two small openings through which its red eyes are visible. The silk forms a hard cocoon, providing Silcoon with protection from potential threats. Due to its immobile nature, Silcoon relies on its eyes to stay vigilant against dangers. It draws nourishment from dew and rainwater that collects on its silk exterior. Despite its limited mobility, Silcoon's primary abilities are defensive, utilizing its hard cocoon to repel enemy attacks until it can evolve into Beautifly.
