Volbeat's backstory is intertwined with its environment and its interactions with Illumise. It inhabits forests near clean ponds and relies on these pristine habitats for its well-being. However, if the pond becomes polluted, Volbeat will relocate to a cleaner area. This Pokémon is particularly attracted to the sweet aroma given off by Illumise, leading to their frequent proximity in the wild.
