Fuecoco (Japanese: ホゲータ Hogator) is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. It is one of the three first partner Pokémon available to players in the Paldea region at the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Alongside Sprigatito and Quaxly, Fuecoco was one of the first Generation IX Pokémon to be revealed to the public on February 27, 2022, through a Pokémon Presents video presentation.

Fuecoco is a bipedal crocodilian Pokémon known for its distinctive red body and white stomach and face. Its body houses a small flame sac that constantly leaks fire energy, manifesting as two bright yellow tufts of flame on its head. When Fuecoco becomes excited, additional flames may appear. It has black eyes, triangular nostrils, and a mouth with three teeth. Fuecoco's stubby arms, large feet with two black toes each, and yellow square scales on its body, back, tail, and feet soles are notable features. These scales are warm and can absorb external heat, which is then converted into fire energy.
In the Pokémon world, Fuecoco serves as a starter Pokémon in the Paldea region, offering new trainers a reliable Fire-type companion. It evolves into Crocalor at level 16 and further into Skeledirge at level 36. Fuecoco's evolution line provides players with a progression of strength and abilities, making it a versatile choice for various battles and adventures. Fuecoco's presence in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet highlights its importance in the series' ninth generation.
