Scorbunny
Scorbunny (Japanese: ヒバニー Hibanny) is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII of the Pokémon series. It is one of the three first partner Pokémon available to players at the beginning of Pokémon Sword and Shield, alongside Grookey and Sobble. Scorbunny evolves into Raboot at level 16 and further evolves into Cinderace at level 35. Scorbunny and its evolutions are notable for their unique ability, Libero, and are the only pure Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.

Backstory
Scorbunny was first revealed to the public on February 27, 2019, as part of the announcement for Pokémon Sword and Shield. It was introduced as one of the three starter Pokémon from the Galar region. Players could choose Scorbunny as their companion at the beginning of their journey through Galar. The character's design and energetic personality were well-received, highlighting its role as an adventurous and spirited Pokémon suited for new trainers. The addition of Scorbunny expanded the roster of Fire-type starters, continuing the tradition established in earlier generations.

It has buckteeth, black beady eyes with orange accents, and an orange nose with a yellow bandage-like marking. Scorbunny's physical traits and behaviors are characterized by its boundless energy and love for running. The Pokémon has special fire pads on its feet that can heat up during battles, allowing it to perform powerful fire-based attacks. These pads can generate enough heat to start small fires and inflict significant damage on opponents.
