Umbreon
Umbreon (Japanese: ブラッキー Bracky) is a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II of the Pokémon series. It evolves from Eevee when leveled up with high friendship during the night or when exposed to a Moon Shard. Umbreon is one of the eight possible final forms of Eevee, the others being Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Notably, Umbreon is one of the Pokémon used by Wes, the protagonist of Pokémon Colosseum, alongside Espeon.

Umbreon’s origin is rooted in the genetic adaptability of Eevee, a Pokémon known for its various evolutionary paths. The evolution into Umbreon occurs due to Eevee's exposure to moonlight, which induces changes in its genetic structure. This evolution mechanism reflects Umbreon’s thematic association with the night. Historically, the evolution process and requirements have varied slightly across different Pokémon games, but the core concept remains consistent.
In the Pokémon world, Umbreon is celebrated for its defensive capabilities and unique type. Its Dark typing provides it with an immunity to Psychic-type moves, setting it apart from other Eeveelutions. Umbreon is featured in numerous Pokémon games, anime episodes, and merchandise, making it a recognizable and beloved character among fans. Its role in Pokémon Colosseum, as one of the main Pokémon of the protagonist, further cements its importance in the Pokémon narrative.
Umbreon is characterized by its sleek, black body adorned with yellow rings on its ears, forehead, and legs. It has crimson eyes and long, pointed ears, adding to its nocturnal aesthetic. The rings on its body glow when it is excited or exposed to the moon’s aura. This glow, combined with its ability to blend into the darkness, makes Umbreon a formidable predator at night. Additionally, Umbreon can secrete poisonous sweat to deter aggressors, emphasizing its defensive nature. Its well-developed eyes allow it to see in the dark, enhancing its hunting efficiency during nighttime.
