Clodsire

Clodsire (Japanese: ドオー Dooh) is a dual-type Poison/Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation IX of the Pokémon series. It evolves from Paldean Wooper starting at level 20. This quadrupedal, amphibious Pokémon is noted for its unique appearance and defensive capabilities.

Clodsire's backstory ties closely with its evolution from Paldean Wooper. Paldean Wooper, adapted to the wetlands of the Paldea region, undergoes a significant transformation at level 20, becoming Clodsire. This evolution marks a shift from a relatively simple amphibious creature to a more robust and defensively equipped Pokémon, capable of surviving and thriving in the challenging environments of ponds and swamps.

In the Pokémon world, Clodsire plays a crucial role in its ecosystem. It often aids Paldean Wooper in crossing bodies of water by allowing them to ride on its back. This symbiotic relationship highlights Clodsire's importance in the wetlands, contributing to the biodiversity and balance of its habitat. Trainers value Clodsire for its unique type combination and its ability to fend off attacks with its defensive spines.

Clodsire is characterized by its rounded body, dark brown on top and light brown on the bottom, with a wave pattern in the middle. It has black beady eyes, a large mouth, and tiny nostrils. Its four legs are short and rounded, each with three digits. A notable feature of Clodsire is the six light purple circular spots on its back, which can extend into thick, sharp spines when threatened. This defensive mechanism, along with its Poison/Ground typing, is inspired by the Iberian ribbed newt. Clodsire's abilities and design make it a formidable and intriguing addition to the Pokémon world.
